LESSON ENDS ONE DAY...

In their own clever way,  

those who try to lecture me—  

I study their lessons well.  

But what happens  

after the lesson is done,  

after I’ve learned it?

I know this:  

The answer isn’t in a reply—  

It lives in the learner.

So then I’ll ask:  

The lesson’s over...
